Great balun / great price = great quality

Well made product, does what it should. I've talked from Nassau to Nevada, Alaska to Greenland to an antenna I built with this 1:1 current balun. Works so well it's almost dreamy.

  • Delivery was very fast

Impeccable Performance: Audio & Video Accessories

Used in roof mounted fan dipole design for 40, 20 and 10. Handles everything I've done including digital modes and CW. Reception is impressive in my QTH's noisy environment. Withstood strong winds, heavy rain and lots of wires and weights. Will definitely buy again for my next dipole project!

Pros
  • Comfortable to use

Bottom RF Connector Custom

Purchased to make Half Wave Dipole for PRC-150. The RF port on the bottom is very odd and I couldn't find a cable or adapter to connect it. It has an extremely large hole for the center pin and is surrounded by insulation. In the end I broke off the bottom part and connected it to the connector of the original cable. Jerry looks like a con artist, but he gets the job done.

Pros
  • Excellent Construction

The MFJ quality has skyrocketed (Zero stars)

Received my so called new MFJ-918 today (October 2020) and it doesn't look like the picture. Looks like they stole the whistle from the house and couldn't even glue the top cap on. Before I can even use the "new" part, I need to fix it so I can install it properly as intended. MFJ should be ashamed of this quality. I've seen better for less at Humfests in a pile of junk.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Upgradable

Works - well assembled 1:1 BALUN

I have a 100 watt RF transmitter with a 600 watt linear one. I'm experimenting with different dipole wire antennas. This device might be a little pricey, but it's built like a tank and is said to handle 1500 watts. I have used it with a plain 20m dipole and am currently using it with a 30m wire dipole which works very well. I was able to get a 1:1 SWR without much trouble. With my 30m dipole, the JT65 allows me to cover a large portion of the US from Southern California at 10W or less. The top…
