Very easy to install

Perfect for my 2001 Suburban. The original sockets fell apart from the heat of the bulb. Very easy to install, but you need to cut the old holder's wires and crimp or solder the new holder's wires.

Fits well and can use the original wiring harness

Looks very similar to the OEM. If you don't want to cut and splice, you can remove the center from the lamp holder. Unplug the cables, install the cables from your car and reinstall the center section. Be careful not to bend the pins on the middle section. view photos

  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • I won't tell

Easy to install Best in Lamps

The lighting kit worked great. I just connected the old wires after marking them and installed the new light kite and everything worked great. Saved a lot of money by going to the parts store. Two sockets are included in the scope of delivery, so you can exchange both sets at the same time. As the car aged, old headlight sockets would burn and become brittle, leading to them breaking when you attempted to replace blown bulbs.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great quality replacement for OEM

They appear to be of very good quality and fit my 2004 Tahoe perfectly. I couldn't tell any difference between them and the original wires I'm replacing, other than those wires were white and the original wires were black and blue. Note that if you are replacing the DTR sockets on a 2004 Tahoe/Yukon etc. and after replacing the sockets and bulbs (4114) verify that they work, the vehicle must be on to illuminate the DTR headlights . . Just for your information.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great value for money - lights and lighting accessories

The sockets fit perfectly on my '05 shrouded Avalanche to replace the burned and discolored original parts. for about 1/3 the price of a GM part. They look identical and are well made with wires that are at least the same size as the originals. I connected them with crimp butt connectors wrapped in heat shrink and they worked great. I replaced the amber LED bulbs which were much brighter and need cooling to hopefully increase ammo durability.

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • Having problems

Good solution to a known problem.

Like most people looking at this outlet, I have a 2000 Chevy pickup with non-working daytime running lights. And like everyone else, the sockets are burned and melted down. The old bulbs had burned out, leaving a hazy haze in the case. I cut off the old connectors, soldered the new ones and inserted heat shrink tubing (you don't use crappy butt connectors do you?) and washed the cases in warm soapy water to try to get rid of any haze left inside. and let it air dry. I replaced the lightbulbs…

Great product, works great

I ordered it because like many of you the daytime running light socket was burned out and the daytime running lights were not getting power. I ordered these instead of AC Delco just because of the price. When I received them it was a few days before the expected shipping date. I open the box and there are two new ferrules, no dirt, no scratches, nothing. They were very easy to install and I'm not a master electrician, in fact it was my first electronic thing I did myself on my truck. It took…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

New gaskets too thick

My old DTL sockets were burned out as often happens with old GM trucks. I did a dry fit with one of the new sockets and had trouble keeping it in place. I didn't want to force a definitive solution for fear of damaging the socket or worse the lamp housing. I considered returning these outlets and reordering the AC/Delco outlets, which cost $8 more, but figured I'd give it another try. I took the spacer off on my second dry landing attempt and then it snapped into place, albeit sloppily. So I…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
