HOW IT WORKS: Introduces millions of beneficial bacteria into your aquarium ecosystem. The beneficial bacteria work to reduce organic waste on ornaments, gravel and filter systems. WHY YOU SHOULD USE IT: The MICROBE-LIFT bacterial aquarium balancer is essential to prevent "new tank syndrome" and help to eliminate ammonia and nitrate present in an aquarium providing a safer environment for the fish in your tank. ORGANIC WASTE REDUCTION: The beneficial bacteria introduced in your aquarium ecosystem provides rapid reduction of organic waste. So our bacterial cleaner for your fish tank will help clean power filters, ornaments, and gravel. HELPS REDUCE FISH LOSS: The MICROBE-LIFT bacterial balancer will help reduce the fish loss in your fresh or salt water tank and is reef safe. NEW TANK DIRECTIONS: For new tanks add 1 tsp. of the MICROBE-LIFT Bacterial Aquarium Balancer per 10 Gallons of water every month and after any water changes. Then follow the directions for established aquariums. ESTABLISHED AQUARIUMS DIRECTIONS: Add 1 tsp. of the MICROBE-LIFT Bacterial Aquarium Balancer per 10 Gallons of water every month and after and water changes. You should also add our bacterial cleaner after cleaning filters, changing filters or 48 hours after adding medications.

Seems to help

My aquarium is less than a year old and my aquarium is very small. We had a big algae influx a few months ago and the water was getting really bad so I really had to clean the tank and restart. Even after this change, the algae came back quickly despite weekly water changes and not only grew on the glass, but also on the filter. I ordered these bacteria hoping they would help with the algae and they seem to be working. The algae won't come back anytime soon. Since this is the only thing I…

Will need more time but so far everything is working fine

I installed a 50 gallon tank 38 years ago that has a growing population of black mollys. There are two bottom filters with power heads in the tank as well as a pair of Tidal 55s hanging from the rear filters. I'm always looking for new products that can improve the health of my aquarium and fish. This ECOLOGICAL LABS AEL20527 Microbe Lift Bacteria Balance caught my attention. For an established aquarium like mine, the recommendation is to add one teaspoon per ten gallons of water once a month…

Makes water changes easier and you don't have to use a lot!

Keeping fish healthy can be exhausting. So I'm glad there is this product that reduces stress for me and my goldfish. Goldfish produce a lot of nitrate, so I have to change the water in the aquarium once a week. Although I use reverse osmosis water, I still like to play it safe by adding Microbe Lift to the tank at the same time. I only need to add 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons which is good as this bottle should last a while. (However, if you are starting a new aquarium, it is recommended to use 2

Seems to work on my tank

I've stopped using Bottle Bacteria altogether as I haven't noticed any difference compared to cycling in a new tank with and without Bottle Bacteria. Although this time I decided to give it one last try, albeit not a new tank. I had to buy a new filter as one of mine also stopped working (and I plan to use it on another tank) assuming it would be ok to completely replace the filter including the media, which I did. That's when I decided to try this product and it seems to help not restarting…
