I have a desktop computer that needs a webcam for some zoom calls while working from home. Due to the pandemic, many popular brand webcams seemed to have sold out, so I had to resort to one of these third-party brands. I wasn't looking for something high quality, but something good enough that I didn't look washed out or sound muffled. The price was good, but what the heck was the designer thinking? the camera stands on a stand with a clampable hinge. but between this base and the chamber is a swivel which cannot be tightened. The stiffness or weight of the cable always moves the camera to where it wants to point. We need to stuff the fabric between the base and the camera to keep it from dangling. Absurd concept!

4 to 2 stars Everything was fine for the first month (20th August 2020), but now the mic doesn't pick up sound unless you're yelling from 2ft away or so close... that the other person can only see your mouth. Video is decent, with a relatively wide lens, plug and play is nice. but lost the functionality of the mic so very disappointed, would love to return but immediately fell out of the return window.

This is an absolute universal device, it comes in a black and white box with no manufacturer and a sticker that says Made in China. It claims to be plug and play, and it is. Installed right away and fits. The only problem is that the method of positioning the camera on my laptop's monitor is a bit iffy - I have to be careful not to knock it out.
