Great bracelet and works great but poor design

I bought MS Band 2 twenty six days ago. I wear it every day to track my movement and sleep. The Band 2 did an excellent job of tracking heart rate. Many other brands ran out of breath after 140 or more heartbeats per second. When I compared my Ms Bands 2 heart rate monitor to other, more accurate methods, it was absolutely flawless. Best Smartwatch I've Owned

This is by far the best smartwatch I've ever owned. I have an original Pebble, Pebble Time, Apple Watch (1st gen) and from yesterday (I know March 2017 right?) Microsoft Band 2. I recently bought a Nokia Lumia 1020 (yes, another old piece of tech). I've been missing notifications on my Apple Watch and the official Pebble app isn't supported on Windows 8.1 mobile phones. Poor quality physical and logical design - save money!

I bought 2 of these units when they first came out - one for my wife and one for me. Mine had the infamous crack streaks after a few months of use. It began to split on the outer surface at the edge where something solid ends at the top of the strip - about an inch from the screen. I don't know if it's a plank or what, but there wasn't a crack on the side, the surface started splitting along the edge - towards the center, but only about halfway across the strip to the hard bit in the Group.
