The goods came already open and dirty

I got this keyboard case with my surface pro as a birthday present for my boyfriend. When I received the package, the keyboard box was already open and covered in dust/dirt. I was so embarrassed to give this to my friend but I had no choice because when I requested a refund and bought another his birthday was long gone. After he opened it, I gave him a choice: return it and get a (genuine) new one, or keep it and clean it if it worked. He tested that it worked well and decided to leave it at…

Soft "feel ", some keys don't work without a firm press

This is my ***fifth*** case since I bought my Surface Pro 3 in 2014. I received this keyboard today, brand new in the box. It's a different model from the previous four, but it has the same soft "feel" of the buttons as the one it just replaced (which only lasted three months before malfunctioning). Some of the buttons on this one have to be pressed very hard to activate it, which is also the same as the previous one (fourth). The other three types of lids were different models (two were the…

It would be great if there wasn't a big mistake

The keyboard works well, attached with magnets that snap into place. But this type of keyboard suffers from a lack of repetitive keys. You're typing on the Surface Pro and it spits out a whole bunch of fffffs or something, and it doesn't stop until you hit enter. This is an inherent flaw in the keyboard's design. You can work with it - somewhat awkwardly - by going into the Windows settings. Go to 'Ease of Access', then to 'Keyboard' and scroll down a bit on the pop-up page. Go to Key Filter…

Microsoft has failed Surface Pro owners - TYPECOVER NOT WORKING

Microsoft has completely failed their customers with these TypeCover keyboards. This is well documented on Microsoft's corporate/corporate and individual support sites. Updates and workarounds won't do anything - and even a warranty replacement won't solve it - since it's an OS/firmware issue that they won't fix. I bought this keyboard in June 2020 to replace the original which only lasted 18 months after buying my Surface Pro. I had to send this keyboard back to Microsoft under warranty…
