Not much better than the previous version

I bought an earlier version of MS Keyboard and had to return it because of the cramped keys and the spacebar that tends to get stuck. Here are my first impressions of this new version of MS Keyboard: I expected a lot from this new version and now that I got it I'm a bit disappointed. The keyboard looks sleeker and higher quality overall, but the keys are only slightly better than on the predecessor as they're still too hard for fast typing. The spacebar no longer sticks, but still feels too…

LXM is a low light bulb compared to 4000

I wanted this keyboard to be my favorite - after all the good reviews, I really did! I just can not. I switched from the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 and my rating is based on a comparison of the two keyboards. Both use the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center for customization. Both have dedicated buttons for searching, activating the calculator, muting or adjusting the volume, programming macros or activating programs or links, and play/pause functions. One of the biggest issues with both…

LOVE this keyboard best in keyboards

Years ago I had this computer at work as I had wrist problems and once I got used to it it was the best thing for me since the invention of the wheel! So I was excited to get one for my home desktop when old wrist problems flared up again - all is well now! It takes a while to get used to the changes and where exactly the keys are - I've been typing for over 55 years, starting with a small manual typewriter as a teenager, and every keyboard seems to have a different key spacing and size to have

Get a sculpture. Trust me, I'm a keyboard addict.

You really need the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard for Business (5KV-00001) or the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard. trust me on that. The distance you have to press each key is ridiculous, the keys are really deep so you don't have to type a lot. Also, it's slightly larger than the Sculpt so your hands have to move more while typing, which I don't think is a good thing. I've tried almost every ergonomic keyboard from Microsoft. As someone who has been typing for around 40 years, if you type a…

Update: There is a problem with this keyboard.

Update: Initially I liked this keyboard but after some use there was a big problem. Look at the right and left halves of this keyboard. Notice how much wider the right button area is compared to the left. The problem is that you often have to stretch out your right hand to press backspace, =, underscore, etc. I'm a software developer and I hit these buttons a lot. This created a reusable issue on the right outside of my right hand. I'm selling this keyboard and trying the new Logitech Ergo K860

It has replaced my Microsoft wireless keyboards

I have both Microsoft Surface and Sculpt and it has replaced both. I use an older version of this keyboard in the office and prefer this to that. It's definitely an improvement in feel and use. I really liked Sculpt, but I wasn't a big fan of key travel. And the surface was a mess; It looked great, the buttons were well spaced and felt more solid than the Sculpt, but it struggled to connect to my PC no matter what I tried. I didn't want to go back to a wired keyboard but for the price I decided

  • Easy setup

  • Cable is shorter than others

Nearly perfect next-generation ergonomics

I then switched to 4000 pro around 2001. Since then I haven't found another matching split keyboard design to my liking until I bought this Microsoft LXM-00001. I like the soft but distinct key action. Not as stiff as fully mechanical keyboards, but not as light as silicone keyboards. The pitch and angle of the slightly concave keyboards offer the best layout I've found. And there's something about the placement that feels a little better than the old 4000. The wrist pad also has a little…
