💡 Microsoft Surface 102W Power Supply Adapter for Book with GPU2 ADU-00001 Review

I ordered this based on questions and photos showing it is a genuine Microsoft OEM charger. I don't have an aftermarket issue but I wanted OEM so paid a little more. What turned up was a fake Binzet charger that I can get for less than half the price HERE ON AMAZON. I give it one star because it works but it is returned: if I wanted a fake I would pay for it.

I ordered a power supply for my Surface Book 1 and Book 2. It was an original MS product and it worked perfectly. I have just ordered another one and am hoping that the second order will be the same.

I have had to return/exchange this product several times because the charger was making a dangerous buzzing and clicking noise. I finally got one that was quiet and died 15 days outside the exchange window. It's more expensive because they put a fake Microsoft sticker on it. Complete garbage.

Not original charger, different font numbers than my original charger which broke and different material cable. Not included in the Microsoft box.

Exactly what it says, genuine Microsoft Surface 102W OEM power supply. It came new and sealed in its original packaging and has a holographic Microsoft authenticity label. I bought it as a main charger for my Surface Pro 4 to use the original SP4 charger as a spare. The device itself is larger than the original Surface Pro 4 35W, and the cable from the device to your Surface is also thicker. It's expected, of course, that this can handle the higher power draw that the Surface Book will require.

Seems to be working fine. However, the hologram is completely different than the same power supply that came with my SB2. The hologram was also very thick. So thick I thought it was covered with a protective film. The hologram actually split in two when I tried to remove what I thought was the cover…

I thought I'd buy an OEM adapter, it says "Microsoft". Obviously this is not a Microsoft product. So far the quality seems good, at least it's putting a strain on my book, but it hasn't been tested by UL so I don't know how it will perform under heavy strain. By now I think it runs much hotter than the original PSU. I think if you search you can find cheaper.

F these guys. They try to pass it off as real - complete with fake packaging and a hologram sticker on the back. Absolutely not a real product that can be easily recognized qualitatively in several places. It also has serious problems - it's broken and won't charge anymore. SAVE TIME AND BUY THE ORIGINAL ON THE MICROSOFT STORE!
