Do not buy, this is aluminum

When I bought it, I didn't read the description of the goods in full. However, this product must not be made of aluminium! I would not recommend it

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Very expensive

Sits too loose. preferably in the trailer hitch

Too much play in the trailer hitch of my Silverado. Everything just sloshes around. The trailer vibrates and rattles every time it is stopped and started. Come back! It also looks like soft metal.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • old

Terrible product - towing products and winches

I have towed a 6000lb trailer twice with this adapter and after the second time it was crushed and bent. I need to cut this out of my truck and hopefully it won't damage my tow receiver. I do not recommend!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

This is not a good fit

This is not a good product for a 2 1/2 coupler receiver on a 2 inch receiver, it has a lot of play and wears out the sleeve which slips into the Half of the receiver, and the more you use it, the worse it becomes, not recommended at all

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Weight 9000 lbs - Not in this reality

I have a 6000 lb camper. Tongue weight 400 lbs. After 80 miles the aluminum bushing was already sheared/shredded 1/16 inch. Misleading advertising at its finest. Use it for bikes and the like, don't drag anything you need with it.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Why would anyone do that?

I wish I could read the description. Why would anyone in their right mind use a piece of aluminum for this? Why? I assumed it was steel so I bought it, right out of the box I thought yes that's right, I don't trust this fragile piece of aluminum in any way to be carried around.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Reliable

It seems to wear out a lot with low mileage

Love that it's light weight and I only use it with my hitch for weight distribution because I didn't want to buy a whole new stock when I bought my new truck . I have less than 500 miles on the transmission and it's badly worn. Elevated seats are worn to flats.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Made from aluminum. good fit for hitch attachment

Very well made and accurate product but I am concerned about durability - the adapter is aluminum which is quite malleable. I use a weight distributed hitch that pushes the adapter up a lot. Just got back from a 500 mile trip and the receiver is a bit clogged. I don't know what it will look like in 50,000km or so. But the adapter is very tight in the receiver, so I bought it. The old one dangled and shook from the bumps in the road. This new one isn't. I like it.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
