🐶 Metal Crate-Compatible Dog Bed with Removable Cover – Paxton Series Review

Attention buyers! Bought a total of 4 pieces. One 24" and three 36" 24" as described. 36", a very different bed. Very little padding, bolsters and non-removable cover! Not at all as described.

My 6 month old labrador puppy chewed a hole in the top and bottom junction and tore out some of the padding. Recommended for dogs outside of the chewing phase. Looks great and my dog loves lying on it in his kennel.

Right out of the box I removed the lid - carefully - to wash it before use. The foam inside is so cheap and poor quality that it broke almost 3/4 at a time. I have bought many dog beds and crate mats in my time and have never come across such a cheap insert. I have contacted them for a replacement but no one has responded yet.

This item fits perfectly in our dog cage. I use it under her fluffy bed but it would be perfectly fine to use this rug alone for your pet. As we use it as the base for our dog's down comforter it gives her great support as she ages and seems to enjoy the comfort of two layers. I also love that it is machine washable!

Although the dogs seem to like it, they didn't tell me if it was "comfortable" or "warm" (two of the four "star ratings" options in Revain), but they did neither of them seem uncomplaining. The bed fits the cage perfectly and I like it because the OLD carpet left a gap between the carpet and the cage wall that probably wasn't very comfortable for the dogs. This fits a bit closer to the side of the drawer so you can wrap a sheet or lining around it.

This is a very nice dog bed but unfortunately it didn't hold up. My 23 lb dog slept in it for two months. When I pulled out the padding to wash the cover, it was completely flat where my dog was lying and started to crumble when I took it off. My dog has never been in an accident. Polyurethane foam is cheap and only good for a few months. Maybe this is normal for a small animal.

This bed is suitable for the cage, but the size is also suitable for use outside the cage. Lightweight and portable, it can be moved from room to room. It's not very thick, but offers sufficient cushioning, especially on carpeted floors. I also like to take such a bed on our travels when we bring our dog because hotels don't provide beds for pets despite the extra charge and our lab is not too comfortable if the hotel has a wooden floor or a low carpet and there is a tendency to jump into bed…
