I like the raised sides as a border as my dog sits in it on my desk and the edges prevent him from falling off my desk or stepping on my keyboard (mostly :P) The lid was easy to remove and put back when it needed cleaning.

It is soft and comfortable and all cats love it. It would be nice if the price was a little lower. I want to be able to buy covers separately so I can have several and keep them clean so I can change them often. I like that the cover is removable and washable.

I bought two of these for my dogs. One a full month later and the other lived only two days. The dog turned it over and chewed off the zipper. There was no bottom on the bed, everything had to be removed. So I have a bed that costs twice what I expected and I bought a different design for a different dog.

21 pound cat loves the bed. The cat loves the Sherpa for warmth and the bed has high sides for the cat to lean on. The high sides also give the cat a sense of extra security, which I understand from reading the requirements for cats. I'm not a professional appraiser, just a family that has a cat in Mid Michigan.

The cover is washable, which is good. The fact that it's not attached causes my dog to keep trying to reposition it. She seems uncomfortable in bed, but I have no valid reason for that. It's still available, but she's lying on a blanket that she can fluff up at will.
