It may be expensive for a Chinese-made mug, but if it saves a laptop, keyboard, or other electronic device, then it's worth it . I've spilled drinks on laptops in the past so I know the pain. As stated on the packaging, the cup must be placed on a smooth surface or the suction trick will not work. The mug will tip over if you push it slowly or hit it hard. These medium/random smacks work best, such as an occasional elbow or forearm smack. The insulation works the same as other inexpensive mugs.

I only had one travel mug which I rated five stars in all categories, which was used for several years until eventually it wore out from constant use.
