Fully Customizable RouterOS

I've experimented with this and used it as both a wireless client and an access point. It uses Mikrotik's default RouterOS and has no limitations. The price was only $19 when I bought it and I will buy it again at this price. It's currently more expensive than the RB941 with the same hardware but 4 ports instead of 3 so I wouldn't recommend it now.

can disappoint.

Good: they are really small. Cons: This brand caters to geeks, enthusiasts, and professionals looking for value for money. I have another larger MikroTik product and it works fine. This is buggy though, I think it's OS related so hopefully it will get better with an update. I tried to configure it as a repeater like other MikroTik access points, but the settings were not accepted at first, and then they seemed to be configured but did nothing. Ideal for about a year.

The web interface was detailed and technical, but the Android app was just in time for an easy setup. This thing is tiny and was absolutely PERFECT for about a year when the signal started to fade a bit. Until then, TP-Link's powerful Wi-Fi hotspots (with their Tether app) were well worth the price.

Cons
  • Doubt

I'm a MikroTik enthusiast so I had to see what this mini router was capable of. It does almost everything the other line of MikroTik routers can, but at a fraction of the price. It works great as a home/office WiFi router. With MikroTik products, you have to learn. A beginner can get confused by all the MikroTik configuration options, so I recommend if you want to learn complex router architecture, MikroTik routers are the way to go. But buy something else for convenience, like Linksys, Belkin,
