This product did not match my shades at all. It's plastic and I didn't have the strength to pull the curtain down. The plastic hook just slipped off the lampshade. However, it worked well for removing lint from my dryer where it slipped under the filter. So it wasn't a total loss.

It might be good for lowering the blind, but when raising the blind THREE of them broke in the same place (right next to the hook). We have not abused them. Each of them lasted less than two months. The thing is made of brittle plastic and scrap. Then I made a rod by bending a hanger: works without fuss.

The pull rod is a cheap piece of plastic painted to look like metal. I tried to use it to pull the curtains up, but the latch at the end is too small and the thin plastic rod almost snapped. It was a waste of money. The only reason this listing is 4.5-5 stars is because it is grouped with curtains and not alone. It needs to be listed separately as it is a completely different product of significantly lower quality.
