You get what you pay for this good tire inflator/gauge

I finally bought this after debating between this and a cheaper one and I'm glad I made my decision. this is a really well made part and works great. would recommend

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Broken after 2 months of very infrequent use

I am not a "commercial" user. I have this in my garage and used it probably 10 times before it started blowing air out of the check valve. (Makes it useless.) I'm sure I can replace this part, but figured I'd buy a "better" model, not one that would break after less than a dozen uses.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Reliability

Good American quality

Well made heavy duty tire inflator. You can feel the difference between this and a cheap fake port freight. Easy to read and has a nice no trigger inflation feature. Made of good material and workmanship. I bought this because my kids broke all the other inflation sensors by falling, stepping on, running over inflatable bikes, balls, or swim toys. This one looks pretty indestructible, and for about $10 more, it's nice to support a US-made product.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Don't lie about the product description

I have been a dealer mechanic for 40 years and have had many Milton tire inflators over the years. It claims to have a 1/4" inlet, but it's actually an odd size, closer to 1/8" so changing hoses isn't possible without using other fittings. After two trips to Home Depot, I was finally able to install the hose I wanted. This is a joke, it is very difficult to install the valve stem. This will be the last Milton I ever bought.

Pros
  • One year probationary period
Cons
  • Unreliable

Good quality! on tires and wheels

I bought a cheap one at an auto parts store last year. Less than half the price. It was difficult to read, gave inaccurate readings and, on top of that, started to leak. I threw it in the bin and bought this Milton model. Milton has been around for over 75 years. Worth the price. (Warning, this doesn't last forever. 40 years ago I pumped up a split rim tire thanks to an inaccurate pressure gauge. It fell off the rim and then hit and fractured my knee. Hobbed in pain for a long time. So, 1/ Buy…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not sure

I am not happy with the valve stem attachment

I am not happy with the valve stem attachment, there are threads in the air cartridge and they do not fit well into the air column. Probably the worst design I've ever seen, it either crosses the threads or doesn't stay on the valve stem. I can't believe Milton invented something this shitty. I've seen cheap Chinese cartridges that are way better than these and what I'll probably do is back one of those cheap cartridges and throw the Milton in the trash. The rest of the device is fantastic, but

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Modern

Buy a fake instead

I like that the pressure gauge in the east seems solid but the problem with the tip, it has a ball that moves from one valve to the other but it does it doesn't work well at all. I disassembled and cleaned it, but that cheap plastic ball makes it difficult to change the valve that is leaking air, even $5 cargo ships in port don't have that problem. My friend wanted one so I bought him a clone that works better and is cheaper. Update: The gauge is outside of the 10psi gauge, even my Harbor…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • A little crumpled
