📏 Milwaukee 48-22-6825: Compact Measure for Accurate Distance Calculations Review

Worst roulette I've seen in years. Milwaukee WAS a trustworthy brand and now like everyone else they're screwing up China crap. Very disappointing.

The lock function worked for about 1 month. Ditto for another Milwaukee I use. That being said, the protruding is no more than 8 inches, and that's generous.

Giving only one star was incorrectly advertised as an "exactly what I wanted" metric. Believe me, this is a "for those who don't know how to read a tape measure" cheat tape, and I don't like that kind of thing. I just threw it in a stack of cassettes to record at home, it will get used to it over time.

I'm a fan of the Ridgid and Milwaukee instruments. This Milwaukee tape measure confirms my confidence in Milwaukee tools. This is a really solid measure that is very easy to use. It's made in Vietnam and quite frankly when these companies don't make their products in the US I prefer it to be made in Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan or Hong Kong where the quality control is excellent and far superior to others. found in China.

I'm a DIY enthusiast so I don't work on anything professionally or commercially. I say this because after 9 days of use, the auto-lock function on this tape measure failed. The tape no longer hangs by itself. I expect this to happen after maybe a year or two of heavy use, but not just after over a week of light use. So far I cannot say that I can recommend this product. Maybe I have a broken one, so I'll replace it. I hope that's all.
