I still use the original notepad and I use it all the time. It's in good condition. Some small pieces fall off but it's still usable and has lasted far longer than anything I've tried. (the makeup sponge that soaked up all my ink)

It's great! I bought these along with the ink I have for various home school projects. This greatly simplifies their use. I love that I can switch foams for the different colors I have. I hope to get more so I can only have one for each color.

You wouldn't think that a rounded blending tool would work much better than a rectangular one, especially for finishing edges, but it does. I love this little tool and the pads are Velcro so they are quick and easy to change out. You can also wash and reuse them. I personally use a mild liquid soap - just put it on the pad, rub it in, then rinse it off with water. DO NOT rinse with water. These little blocks with handles are a great find! In the past, I've been plagued by unwanted marks on documents that I cut like antiques. This is due to the thin line that can be left if the ink pad is even slightly pressed against the page. These little round beads eliminate that problem for me. The pen is easy to hold and the pads hold just the right amount of ink for pinpoint action. In this kit you will find two pens and a starter set of blocks, so I recommend buying an extra set of blocks
