Mini Microphone Skype Desktop Laptop Review

This little mic that fits into my laptop's USB port is the perfect replacement for the internal mic that no longer works. Excellent purchase!

This is a terrible USB mic! I've worked with him on two different platforms and found the quality of the recordings to be terrible! No adjustment of the recording parameters, no matter how large, can do anything useful. Avoid this product!

I use a microphone to use closed captioning in class. I have students who do not understand English but can read in their mother tongue. So when I speak, the microphone picks up my voice and writes on my screen in the student's native language.

I bought this for a project involving Raspberry Pi 4. I created the Mycroft voice assistant. This mic worked with mycroft and Raspberry Pi 4 software. The system works well (I'm sure you could get a better mic than this but it's very convenient and works)

When testing the mic on Windows with Voice Recorder, there was significant noise in the recording. However, when using it via video conference, everything seems clear. Otherwise it was recognized by Windows and was ready to use as soon as it was connected. This also fixes an issue with the built-in microphone not working properly. It's unobtrusive due to its small size and is an inexpensive way to get a working microphone.

My laptop's internal mic isn't great - pretty pathetic actually - so I bought it for Zoom calls. It's SMALL - I can leave it on my laptop and conveniently slip it into my laptop bag. This works pretty well, although you'll have to speak a little louder on the left side of the computer when you're on the right. But to be honest it was way better than I expected. I thought it would work for Zoom/Facebook/Skype but it works way better than I thought. It might sound like a pretty cool compliment…
