Great for Linux/opnsense. Windows will slow down if you don't turn off the effects. The included SATA drive is nothing special except for low-intensity tasks. I see it's a HTPC box/router in the living room. I wouldn't recommend using it as a NAS as the board doesn't have extra space for two SATA drives. You better get paid yourself. Use as a low power WiFi SDN router for home (lab). Plugged into a Wave 1 WiFi5 radio connected via the M.2 M-Key "NVMe" slot in the image above, it works great, transferring packets with a lot less load than my old Intel Silvermont based router. Excellent silent router PFSense/OPNsense. This device has replaced the Ubiquiti Unifi USG in my office and can route 1Gbps symmetric internet with A pihole/pfblockerNG as well as suricata for IDS/IPS with Grafana dashboard. With so many features in the M.2 slots on the Odyssey board, I added an extra network card and split my wireless traffic. In addition, USB 3 Type-C also allows you to add 2.5 Gigabit network adapters on the front of this unit.

I got this for making a Zoneminder video but ended up testing it for 3D slicing and Arduino programming. Didn't realize it was significantly slower than my desktop PC for what I'm doing. Now it will be difficult for me to do without it. It's nice to have a PC that I can just wipe and restart if something goes wrong, like updating Cura or messing up Arduino libraries. I'll probably get one to devote myself to cutting and developing the Arduino.

I took 2 for "Kodi Boxes". I installed Libreelec 10.0.0 (JEOS for Kodi) and they work great, fast and the SSD makes it responsive. No 4k60 in GUI but that's a Libreelec issue because I got 4k60 while testing Windows 10 and Ubuntu. I have my video cache set to 6GB and I don't see any buffering with local streams or addons using Real Debrid.
