It does not work. fits KVM switches

I either received a defective unit or it only works with a limited number of units. I've tried using a USB keyboard that doesn't support the PS/2 protocol and one that does support the PS/2 protocol by using a simple $2 USB to PS/2 adapter have used. Neither keyboard worked, which confused me as it didn't appear to be an active or passive USB to PS2 adapter. I thought it was an active USB PS/2 adapter that would allow a modern USB keyboard to be used. Just to add, the non-PS/2 USB keyboard I've

Not compatible with most new mice

You may have received a lot of feedback about this adapter. The reason is that this adapter is very device specific. It seems very few new mice work with this adapter. I originally bought this device to adapt a USB mouse to a PS/2 port. At the time I was using an Etekcity M910 wireless USB mouse. The adapter works perfectly with this mouse. All buttons, steering wheel, DPI work properly and without lag. Recently this mouse died and I replaced it with an (it turned out) identical M910 mouse. Now

The best for a retro PC

I've been looking for a device like this for a long time; Ordered in the US, shipped to Europe. This is both an ACTIVE device and converted the latest USB KB+ mice to PS/2. It worked with every device I connected with some minor issues. USB hubs can be used (unless power is limited). Highly RECOMMENDED for retro PCs if you want to use the new KB/Mouse. These cheap USB PS/2 adapters only work if the USB KB/Mouse knows the PS/2 protocol itself (useless with devices designed after 2010). Alsoโ€ฆ

What You Need to Use USB Devices on PS2 KVM

This is what you need if you are trying to use new USB keyboards, mice, trackballs etc with a KVM use that only supports PS/2 connections. . You may have to connect and disconnect a few times for it to work, but it works. This allows me to keep my large investment in Rose KVM and I am very happy. I'm using a Kensington Slimblade trackball with a Rose Ultramatrix KVM and it works great. The scroll wheel and all functions work, but the Kensington software doesn't work because it can't find theโ€ฆ

Works intermittently

When I boot up my computer, it doesn't recognize my keyboard or mouse. I use a Kensington optical trackball and a simple USB keyboard with no ten keys. When I press the reset button and let it boot back up, it sees the mouse and keyboard and everything works fine. I was willing to put up with it for a while, assuming that's how these converters work, but then I decided to try another product (Linkskey). This other product works as expected; The computer recognizes the mouse and keyboard everyโ€ฆ
