Not compatible with most new mice

You may have received a lot of feedback about this adapter. The reason is that this adapter is very device specific. It seems very few new mice work with this adapter. I originally bought this device to adapt a USB mouse to a PS/2 port. At the time I was using an Etekcity M910 wireless USB mouse. The adapter works perfectly with this mouse. All buttons, steering wheel, DPI work properly and without lag. Recently this mouse died and I replaced it with an (it turned out) identical M910 mouse. Now the mouse pointer doesn't move at all. I tried this adapter with 10 other USB mice. Some almost work but have excessive lag. In most cases, however, the pointer does not move at all. I haven't found a 2020 mouse that works with this adapter yet. It seems that most new mouse (2018+) chips are not compatible. An old wired Logitech optical mouse works the same as a wired Microsoft Intellimouse. The issue some have reported where the mouse doesn't work on cold boot and then works on restart is a function of both the adapter and mouse being used. Some mice have slower initialization times and require a reboot to work. Others (my old M910) worked every time I first booted. I haven't tested it with a keyboard, so I can't comment on keyboard compatibility.
