I would like to start by saying that I have owned and loved my previous Minnetons which I had for over 6 years until they could no longer be used. I usually find something I like and stick with it. So I wanted to stay loyal to the company that made my last great pair and expect the same results. Arrived today. I ordered what I thought would be a darker brown, but they are the lighter brown that I really wanted. a couple at 11 1/2 that were super tall. Size 11 fits perfectly. These new suede models feel lighter and even more comfortable than the smooth leather I will be using in the garden for housework, dog walking, etc. The Minnetonka are quality moccasins. I originally ordered a size 11 (my usual size) but when I tried them on they were too big. I returned them and ordered 10 1/2 wide but they were too long and when I tried to tighten the laces they broke. I sent back the second pair and ordered a size 10 wide which fit perfectly. The width of these moccasins is true to size but the length is far from correct. Thank goodness for the Revains free return policy! I prefer the "feel" of a double soft leather sole when walking around my house on dirt trails, but they are slippery when the ground or grass is wet. I bought these rubber soles for more reliable traction in most conditions and find them very comfortable although noticeably stiffer than soft soles.
