Great product for spares

Is this a spooky product? NO! But the quality was very good, fits well and the price is right. I've had sinister bypass kits on my last two 6.0 trucks and this installed quickly and fitted well.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Good overall but...

Rust a month after installation

How annoying. This kit must not cost more than $25 to make. So Mishimoto makes $100 profit on each sale, and a month after installation, the screws rust. Even in summer I didn't even survive the salty winter. One would think that at least with such a high profit, they could provide us with high-quality equipment. Please, Mishmoto, throw in an additional $0.50 for stainless or properly plated screws, your profit only drops to $99.50.

Keep Your Oil Cooler & EGR Cooler Clog Free 6.0 Engine

Great kit, I had no problems or had to pass. I put on a coat and two pairs of socks 🤣 and left this morning at 30 degrees. I drained about 7-8 liters of antifreeze and nothing came out of the heater hose that needed to be removed. EGR and oil cooler new so I flushed the cooler a few times and topped up with ELC coolant. This filter system is designed to help prevent clogging. I love 💖 my 6.0. I just said that about the cargo.

  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Something different

Great product - with some modifications

This is great for a 6.0 turbo diesel and installation will be easy if you don't already have an oil bypass system like me because they take up the same space. However, with a small modification, both mods fit nicely under the hood. I first had to remove the oil filter from the bracket and move it closer to the alternator where the bracket attaches. Drill new holes and trim off the excess with a cutter. Then the coolant filter fits as specified.

  • Delivery was very quick

  • So so

Where are the instructions?

Good product, looks good and fits well. The only thing I have is that I want it to come with instructions. As a result, I went to the Mishimoto website and they were there. Basically you put a hose tee in line with the inlet side of the heater core and replace the radiator vent hose with another, then connect them to the filter and you're done. Very easy to do. One thing I would add is that they don't say to cut the heater hose, just remove it and put in a connector fitting, which you could…

Happy with the purchase!

Very easy to install. All you need are a few basic hand tools. I would recommend installing after a coolant flush if set to 6.0. Used the included WIX filter (buying an extra filter is recommended) and ran for about a month before adding a replacement. I wasn't sure if it did anything since I flushed the system thoroughly. before changing the oil cooler. I came across an old filter and was amazed at the amount of dirt it held. It appears to be a well built system and a lot cheaper than some of…

Best on the market, don't buy on eBay

I've installed at least a couple dozen of these at clients' sites and on my own trucks. The best bypass setup on the market. All cheap ebay or ominous models are junk because ball valves leak, after leaking a few cheap ball valves I switched to a Mishimoto setup and haven't had a single problem. Well worth the price and a really decent valve for what you get, silicone tubing included. The cheap kits also have a leaking T-section because cheap crimp connections leak and cannot be repaired. Don't

Forget that overpriced crap from sinister brands or otherwise

Built by Ford Diesel Master Tech this coolant filter is the only way out! Forget that overpriced crap from sinister brands or any other! This kit has molded hoses so there are no crappy tees and a bunch of clamps. Looks the same as the factory part and works very well. I've had this kit on my personal truck for 15,000 miles and it worked great, the only thing that bothered me was the crappy clamps they sent. I reused the factory clamps wherever I could and got extra factory clamps for my work…
