This product is highly recommended!

No direction - sucks. But my husband watched four or five YouTube videos and finally got it. We towed our RPod trailer uphill in Big Bear, California with ZERO issues with our 2008 JKU and performance when the transmission cooler was amazing. He was highly recommended in all Jeep magazines. So worth the money.

Pros
  • High-quality workmanship
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Installing Jku on Engine Cooling and Climate Control

Installed on a 2010 JKU. Installation is fairly easy. They have a helpful video on their website. My biggest complaint is that I cut the factory hoses and then used hose clamps to hold everything together. Doesn't look very professional. More like a universal cooler that someone put in. I expected more for the money. I could just buy a $50 cooler if I wanted it to look like a non-professional setup.

Pros
  • Great for me

Good fit and easy installation

This is a good product and fairly easy to install. Hardware isn't the best. The transmission line connectors attached to the cooler are made of plastic. It would be easy to twist and break them. The end result of my setup is as tight as I can get without slowing it down and it still has a small leak. Maybe this is an isolated case, but I think it's because of the plastic fittings. For the money I expected better quality.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works amazingly well in spares

Trans hit 200+ within 20 minutes of riding and even hit 220+. After installing the radiator I have never seen temperatures above 170, now 120-150. And the downside is that this is a tedious installation. I did everything myself on my jeep so I know how to turn a wrench and it was a tedious job. If you're reading this make sure you install it with all the struts loosened and once it's in place do your best to tighten it, also the hose is very a little scary so I got through it replaced a string…

Do not buy. Best Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning

DO NOT BUY. AC CAPACITOR DESTROYED. This product is absolute junk and it cost me thousands to fix. The transcooler was installed correctly (despite the missing instructions). It was securely attached to the frame, but I still managed to destroy my AC capacitor and leak all of my coolant. The set is absolutely awful. Not only did the air conditioner repair cost me nearly $2,000, it was overpriced for the quality. Power lines are an absolute joke, they literally feel like a slowly leaking garden…

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Safety

This is a quality kit that includes everything you need for installation

The product was delivered on time and Mishimoto protects the product perfectly. The cooler itself was in its own box, sandwiched between foam on each side. Yes, it's expensive, but I was limited in time and didn't want to buy all the parts. Mishimoto provides videos and written instructions, so there are steps. None of them explicitly show how the calipers are installed, so this took extra time. They also don't explain which hose goes where. Of course, they recommend that a licensed mechanic…

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add it later
