too small for old eyes

I am a bit sad to write a negative review about this - I have quite a lot of tools and tools from Mitutoyo, they are of the highest quality. I also have a 6 inch Starrett ruler in my shop that I love and needed another for my office. As usual, Mitutoyo is a bit cheaper (price) so I chose it, but unfortunately I can't read it without a magnifying glass.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Crumpled

Good quality, works

If you are an engineer you must have a good steel scale! I've had one all my professional life, it lived on my desk at work. I've been working from home for over a year and he still lives in the office. I recently needed a decent tenths of an inch ruler and settled on this style. If you appreciate a nice 6 inch steel scale, you will love these :)

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Expensive

Good but slightly different than advertised

These are good rules of thumb but slightly different than advertised. They are made in Japan, not the States (not that it really matters, Mitutoyo is Japanese of course). The smaller inch scale is also at the bottom instead of at the top. They're just under 1/2 inch wide if that's important for your purposes. The width is closer to 0.4725 inches. They are very close to exactly 6 inches (6.0000 inches, according to my calipers). They are a little more flexible than I expected but not fragile.

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • Update Availability

Good steel ruler 0.1 " steps with millimeter scale

This is a good 6" steel ruler, easy to read. It has a double scale, imperial units on one side and millimeters + 1/2 millimeters on the other. I like the fact that there are tenths and hundredths on the imperial side as I process that scale and find it much more convenient than 32's and 64's. The finish is a little lighter than my old Starrett scale, but that may be due to the age of the Starrett scale. Overall, the Mitutoyo scale is very good. highlighted.

Exact perfect gift for the machinist.

I like this little ruler because it's easy to read, very precise measurements: 6.0 inches long, 0.472 inches wide and about 0.015 inches thick. Tools or a rough measurement of length or thickness is a bit flexible but for the money I think it's a good machine ruler, it comes with a red plastic case for you to keep it in, the only thing I don't like about it , is that it is It took about 3 weeks to deliver but it does the job so I'm happy with it.

Pros
  • Hardened Stainless Steel
Cons
  • Unsure

Reliable quality - my pocket ruler

Almost perfect little ruler. Inches in tenths and hundredths (graduation very small, clear and legible, easily countable with varying graduation lengths), mm on reverse. the most suitable combination for those who work with metal or mechanical things. The ruler is thin and thin enough to follow gently curved surfaces. pleasure in use. Well, if Starrett would just bring her products home (or at least get her out of a country that locks up and enslaves its minorities), I'd go over her material…

Pros
  • Matt chrome
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
