I don't really like this indicator because it's not bi-directional where you can push the tip either way and the reading is displayed. There's a toggle you have to click to change the reading direction, and it's not exact. My colleague tried to center this in a hole and kept getting different readings every time he tried. Besides, it's not cool. It's just rubbish.

Works well, used to be a trusty starette but they've gone to hell with Jacobs ammo. very bad. I'd love to buy an American, but it's just becoming impossible. Yes, there are US companies that sell machine tools, but their products are now made outside of the US. I think I gave up the "Buy American" mantra when I found out that the only American-made car in NASCAR is a Toyota.

. My concerns relate to other but important issues. These items are not marked in the description. First, as another reviewer pointed out, it's not bi-directional. Second, there is no swallowtail! Very surprised by this. The 3/8 rod barely fit in the noga holder. Third, there are no instructions on the tool itself: meaning it's one-way, how to change direction, whether it has a clutch, etc. It says opening it by anyone else voids the warranty.
