Description of Mitutoyo 543 783B Digimatic Resolution Specifications

Electronic indicator measures 0 to 0.5" (0 to 12.7mm) with 0.0005" (0.01mm) resolution and + or - 0.0008" accuracy, for measuring short, linear distances in mechanical engineering, machining, and manufacturing applications. LCD displays in both inches and metric units, and indicator has a flat back for stem/plate mounting. Absolute electrostatic capacitance-type linear encoder for accurate measurements. 3/8" diameter stem and a #4-48 UNF contact point thread mount. Ingress Protection certified IP42 for protection against objects greater than 1mm and dripping water.

Not Worth the Price Tag

Based on my experience, this product is not worth the investment for industrial and scientific use. While the resolution specifications are impressive, I found it difficult to navigate and set up properly. The lack of user-friendly features made it frustrating to use on a daily basis.

It goes without saying that "mitutoyo " is a professional instrument.

It goes without saying that "mitutoyo" is a professional instrument. which means I could never afford it. So this review only exists because of "Amazon Stock Deals" which means I have NIST certification (with certificate, must be part for Space-X ;)) Mitutoyo ad and I can still afford it, to eat.

Purchased "Used Condition - Like New "

Five stars is what happens when you cross your fingers and hope you don't get struck by lightning, but that's in the worst If you know you can send it back. I already have the eyelet 543-783, which I bought new and paid significantly more for it. A used pad of Revain turned up with everything in the box, although opened, used and not properly stacked. The buttons on the device were dirty, but the device itself wasn't; Buttons are easy to clean. I installed my existing 783 where this block was…
