Running to the finish line

My best marathon effort is in this shoe. I like bright colors. Elixir is very similar to Inspire. I assume it's lighter and is there a difference in support - more or less? I can not remember. Pretty good shoes. Will be used again, but Ronin is way better.

Pros
  • Working hands-free
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Quality shoe: Athletic

This shoe is almost as good as the Elixir 5 which I would give five stars. Compared to the Elixir 5, it's a little less comfortable and feels a little less broken. I also think it might not last me as many miles as the Elixir 5. This is a very good shoe in its own right and I think it has helped me run well and minimize injuries.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Senior

Great all round shoe

Have been using Mizuno Elixir shoes for 7 years since the first generation model. Ran 10 marathons in it including 2 Boston marathons. Elixir 6 is a great addition to the range. Same comfortable fit, not too wide and seems to last longer than the previous model with new midsole material. Great all round shoe with little support (not as strong as a regular stability shoe), lighter weight and more durable and quicker to grip. I use them both in training and in competitions.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Nothing here
