Enhanced Mobility with Mobile Pixels Duex Max 14.1" Portable Monitor Review

I liked it when I first got it. I work from home so it was nice to have a second screen that I can take anywhere in my house. It worked fine initially, but after about a month connection problems started. I would get a white screen with the Microsoft icon. Now it is very difficult to connect and it goes out in the middle of use. This is very annoying and I find it harder than it's worth. For the price I shouldn't have too much trouble with it, especially at first.

-Easy setup (all you have to do is download the driver from their website) and then connect your monitor to your computer -Great for Macs! My Macbook Air normally only supports one external monitor (1 mini DP slot), but since this monitor is connected to a USB port, I can run 3 monitors at the same time! Image quality is good. Easy to shoot. on the go - when not in use, you can slide the monitor behind the laptop and take it with you wherever you go.

I love this product. It works great and I can't wait to use it for work. I love how I can move around the house now so I'm not stuck in my office anymore. The only thing that took a minute was figuring out how to flip the screen so I can use it from the left side. . This was an easy fix, but it took me a while to figure out why it wasn't working. Overall I like it and have been working on it a bit already and looking forward to using it tomorrow! Good product!

*UPDATE* This monitor was a lifesaver during Covid. I have traveled between many places and needed a second screen to work in different locations and this monitor makes it very easy. I can just put it in my backpack and set it up with dual monitors in seconds. I absolutely love this product and will be using it for years to come. I bought it so that if I need to work remotely I don't lose the comfort of using the screen. I hesitated because it's not exactly cheap. However, I am very happy to have made this purchase. I have used this screen several times over the past few months and have been happy with it. The cable that goes to connect the screen to the computer can be a little annoying, but it's necessary and certainly doesn't make me regret the purchase. Having a second screen for my laptop was invaluable as I have been working from home due to COVID. Before buying, there were negative reviews due to the fact that the screen did not stay on the laptop. The screen will stay on as long as you follow the instructions and make sure the bottom of the screen is flat. Magnets hold the screen to the laptop, but it needs a surface to support it. Since the outbreak of Covid, everyone in my company is working remotely. Unfortunately, I live in an area where I have very limited internet connection, so I worked from my car in our local school's parking lot for several months, where they boosted the Wi-Fi signal. A dual screen is a game changer for me. It has made me much more efficient and the quality of my work has definitely improved. I LOVE this monitor and look forward to using it wherever I can work once the world is open again.

The cable only worked a few times and then the cable had connection issues. The screen did not turn on or turned on intermittently. Can't get an answer from their support team. I advise you to be more selective when buying.

The magnets do not stick to the back of the laptop, although the instructions that came with it were specifically followed. It didn't work as intended and advertised so I sent it back. PENDING UPDATE: The manufacturers of Duex were kind enough to contact me individually and send me a new SMALL model with more magnets. I'll see how this setting works and update it accordingly!

A great addition to my laptop that makes working from home a lot easier. Excellent resolution and speed. Excellent customer service. I had an issue at first but they figured out it was the USB cable and I was new to FedEx. Received quickly and worked immediately.

Traveling with a second screen is a breeze! I had to glue the magnets back into the stand. but it was an easy 5 second job with superglue - everything is a bit smaller on this screen than on a laptop, not enough to be in the way for me but might be an issue for some.

Whether you take it to work or travel, you can attach this mobile screen to your tablets or laptops. So I can be productive on the go. Why? Thanks to this I can link to my presentation and leave my notes on the main screen. Instead of endlessly switching back and forth between screens. You will no longer get stuck on a screen! If you travel and fly a lot, this is simply necessary to maneuver in your plans.

I have a 14 inch laptop with Windows 10 and Duex pro is perfectly compatible with my laptop. I had trouble setting it up initially, but it works fine when I change the direction of the connector in the Duex Pro. I highly recommend this product.

It was easy to add a monitor to my laptop. A simple update on my Mac and the monitor worked. I'm so thankful I ordered it before the virus quarantined our teams.

It was a life saver and an ease of use that makes working from home on a work laptop awesome. Allows me not to repeat the home setup. It's lightweight and the magnets work great on my Thinkpad. Better spending during this extended work from home.

I work with two different laptops all the time and it makes my life so much easier! The only complaints are that the screen is sometimes difficult to slide out and the magnets don't work that well on my HP Spectre.
