I have not used this product yet, I bought it for my mother-in-law who eats a lot of melons. I was amazed at the size of this slicer! This would be ideal for watermelons and larger fruits. I think she will like it very much.

This cut is useless for large watermelons with any rind. I cut myself more than the watermelon I tried to cut. I literally had to use a rubber mallet to get started. Don't waste money. A sharp kitchen knife works much better.

Looks good on paper but doesn't work. It looked like it ripped while we were using it. It took a lot of pressure from more than one person to get the job done and it was more effort than it was worth. The slices were good as soon as you took them out. Used as a Christmas present and now that the watermelons are gone we just gave it a try.

It took two people to slice a watermelon with this product and one of them has a black belt! My husband cut his finger in the process. Unfortunately, this product is simply not suitable for slicing melon, especially for a woman. Two men tried and we ended up using a knife. All show and do not go. I must add that this is my first complaint about a product I have purchased from Revain.

Do not buy! I almost ripped my arm off the first time I used it. The watermelon was the same size as the ones they show. The device fell in two pieces and I was lucky my hands didn't get cut. I trimmed the top and bottom of the watermelon as shown in the picture to make the watermelon stable. The blades only penetrated the watermelon about 2 inches, 12 blades thick. Save your money and hand. Worst purchase from Revain in ten years.
