Modway Jive Office Chair: A Sleek Black Mid Back Chair for Your Workspace Review

Bought this chair to work from home. The chair is well constructed and has a mid-century vibe to it. All solid metal and has held up well for the 3 months I've had. The PU leather also looks great. I had to add a lumbar pillow for extra support. I love the option to have a fixed or flexible backrest. The screws can come loose, so tighten them (but don't rip them off!).

The chair itself is very nice. Sturdy, feels well made. Definitely solid. The only thing that confuses me is that it's not bright white. He's not entirely white. I bought a white table for this chair and after everything was assembled it is very noticeable that the chair is a different color than the table. I would like a lighter white. But other than that I could buy more.

The chair looks great, rolls very well (much better than the office chair I replaced) and I don't even mind that the Chair has very firm cushions because I like the back support but as other reviewers have said the handles wobble and don't stay securely in place. I'll take one of the bolts to the hardware store and buy some clamp washers to reduce hand play and movement, which isn't the biggest issue but still annoying.

Unfortunately I had to return the product. I assembled it halfway through and found a manufacturing defect that prevented the right arm from attaching. Luckily I didn't destroy the packaging so I could send it back. If you're under 5'1" and shorter than a linebacker, you know how difficult it can be to find a comfortable work chair. If we could lower the tables it might help but we can't.
