Moen 105895BL Matching Escutcheon Matte Review

I bought this to match my oil bronze Moen lights - the cap is plastic and doesn't match the color of the rest of the lamp. It's tight, but what's the point of buying Moen if the color doesn't match. Also, at least in my case, the thread length doesn't decrease long enough to secure the nuts on either end, so it took me and my plumbers to install.

The pristine stainless steel air gap cover fits the Moen Flawless stainless steel faucet perfectly which was the only reason to buy this particular air gap. It also includes a bottom ring to cover the base of the air gap to keep the white plastic from protruding above the countertop. Otherwise the rest of the air gap is what you will find in any store. At least the cap looks like real stainless steel and not fake metal on plastic which I think is the reason for the high price.

I bought this because I wanted the air gap to match the finish of the faucet/soap dispenser I received. It fits and serves its purpose as an air gap. What I don't like is the white bezel visible below. You can see in my photo. The craftsman who installed it also left a black bezel which was from a previously installed item (which worries me too but has nothing to do with this product).
