Moen 116711 Enhanced Eco-Performance Aerator Insert with 1.5 Gpm Flow Restrictor Review

Three things: 1) You will need a removal tool to remove the old aerator from your faucet. This is the one that looks like a small square key. 2) Don't give up if the aerator cover doesn't come off right away. This might take a while. 3) If you have a Moen Monticello vanity set, this aerator is suitable for it.

Just what we needed for our kitchen sink! I have ordered several of these. If you're having trouble identifying or assembling the part in your faucet, you may not need an "aerator" but rather this "flow restrictor". Could not be found in the big stores. The Moen kit didn't fit in there. Nice to have found something here. Be sure to save the rubber ring if your faucet has one as a new one does not come with this part.

The product fit and was exactly what I needed. However, I had to order additional seals. And there are pads in the pack that I don't need or use. I assumed the poetry was included, but stupidity. I would pay an extra dollar or two to have the full set. So I had to wait two more days to get my kitchen faucet fixed while I waited for the gaskets. I could go to a big hardware store but the closest is 30 miles away. Just remember that there is only the aerator in this package.

Finally found a filter insert ("tablet") that matches Glacier Bay Contemporary faucets for two bathrooms. It's not Moen, but this filter fits. The design of the ACE hardware universal filter made it too noisy and noisy when aerating the water flow. The Home Depot product only comes in 1.2 GPM instead of the 1.5 I am replacing. I was disappointed with the flow at first but after splitting the green part of the filter and removing the tiny o-ring inside it flows great. This green screen aerator is a 1-1/2 GPM aerator and I haven't seen a 2.2 GPM red filter on Revain. The 1/2 green and 1/2 clear screen parts separate to allow o-ring removal. Matches perfectly with our kitchen faucet. I looked up what letters and numbers are engraved on the little thing on the end of the faucet that this thing holds and that's what I found out. Ordered and said it would be there on Monday but came the next day (Saturday).
