Fits easily on towel rings

I installed this using a general purpose tool because I couldn't find a screwdriver. It is so easy. And it matches all my other Moen lights.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not bad

Very nice towel rail

Excellent quality product and looks great in my bathroom! I paired it with towel rails that also fit. Easy to install and looks great.

Moen changed what goes into the .

Moen changed what is attached to the wall and their new design does not work well. I had to fix my wall because it takes a lot of effort to get the base to snap into place.

Pros
  • Decent finish
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Really disappointed

I built a house with Brantford nickel fittings and those towel rings don't fit at all. Installing them is also a nightmare. They tear through the wall and are literally impossible to remove without cutting a large hole in the drywall. Two of the three I bought also don't fit in the plastic case. This is really disappointing.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

More detailed removal instructions if you must

You can remove without tearing down the wall. I kept reading negative reviews about people having to rip it out of the wall to remove it. Common sense told me that no one would make a product like this. I had to take mine off and it took me a while to figure it out but you have to tip the bottom up and it will snap off. You will then see a screw that needs to be unscrewed to remove it.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • It's hard to tell

The Moen Brantford Towel Ring works great and looks great!

Moen Brantford Towel Ring Looks good and works well. The ring has a puck-like system that allows it to pivot just enough for you to pull the towel towards you without lifting it off the wall! The installation went quickly and easily. Also, the polished nickel finish perfectly matches the rest of the bathroom fixtures, handles, etc.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No dispenser

Buy it for life because you will never get it back.

Buy it for life because you will never get it back. Most of these parts use a small set screw to hold them in place. Unscrew the screw, the part comes off immediately. Moen uses a plastic insert with a small tongue to attach it to the outside. The tongue doesn't slide out easily, and even then it doesn't slide back out without damaging the drywall. They also give you a cheap metal drywall lock that doesn't always close leaving the screw turning useless.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Attractive appearance, solid installation design

Towel ring looks as advertised and feels solid. The reason I gave it 5 stars is the installation hardware. It comes with a good quality drywall anchor and screw that secures the black plastic cylinder. You slide the base of the towel rail over the cylinder, which locks securely into place. I've installed several of these plumbing fixtures over the years and most of them have sockets that attach with a small screw under the bracket. They often don't fit or eventually start to fail in one way or…

Pros
  • User friendly
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Plumbing system could be better

Moen, hire someone to redesign the plumbing system because it sucks! Alternatively, you can go back to the old Butterfly system, which was the easiest way to install/reinstall. I installed the ring in my half-bath, after the 18" towel rail in the master bathroom (read the review). I knew I only had one chance to get it right because once the plastic clip was in, it was almost impossible to remove. Well, I ran into a completely different problem. The single screw system is not designed for…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
