My daughter wanted this as a birthmark as a gift to go to grad school this fall, reading the reviews I was a bit concerned. We managed it anyway. It was disappointing. Capturing words from the tablet to the computer was sporadic. Moleskin needs to troubleshoot and repair this product. We returned it.

This kit solves a lot of my typing problems. I like to write on paper, in a journal, and that is the most important input device, a physical journal. . Automatic backup on my iPhone written in my handwriting exactly as I wrote it.2. Automatic transcription into digital text. Now I can move on to a journal and pen.

Lots of bad to mediocre reviews but it worked great. The packaging is nice, setup is easy, and the pen and app sync without a hitch. I've used it extensively for several weeks and not a single problem. The pen writes well, the moleskin notebook is as advertised. I wish there was a page marker on the notebook like other Moleskins, but that's about it. And notes integrate well with Evernote.

Tried 3 weeks and wrote 15-20 pages. About 25% of my emails didn't transfer properly to my electronic notepad. I tried to write very slowly and very clearly, but didn't copy everything. I played with the sensitivity settings but nothing helped. It's a shame because I really liked this concept. I returned the product after 3 weeks. Thank you Revain for the quick refund of my money. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product.

I was so excited about this product! It would make my working life much easier. Unfortunately, this is much better in theory than in reality. The pen has poor battery life and only lasted half of the meeting. My strokes didn't get repaired properly more than 80% of the time, so I had to keep going back and filling stuff in. The Moleskine Smart Writing Kit is ambitious, but obviously the company doesn't care to endorse it. Their support site promises a response within 48 hours, but after several emails, no connection is made. The pin works intermittently and then stops altogether (in my suggestion it gets blocked, so you have about a page of digital content transfer and the rest is lost). I bought this unit and it has worked fine for a while. I've been using it for a while without syncing with the app. It is said to store up to 1000 pages. When I synced to the app, it downloaded about 30 pages that were stored in the pen, but mysteriously the writing was white, making the pages appear blank.
