I bought a different style and my child didn't want to wear it after the first time. This style is perfect for small stature. Happy with purchase in this style even AFTER washing in cold water as usual. Dry both on "knitted" which is the medium heat choice for our dryer. I would buy again if needed.

This swimsuit runs a little small. My average 7 year old is a size 8-10 and it fits just right. But it's not comfortable at all and a very high neckline around the hips. She feels uncomfortable wearing this without shorts. You can't wear underwear with him unless you have shorts to cover them up. She's wearing higher-waisted underwear (not the typical types you find at Target and Walmart with signs all over the place) and they're still visible. I would not recommend that.

One of the straps on the back broke and after the first wear there was a large hole in the armpit. I didn't even get a chance to wash it. The quality is terrible.
