***UPDATE***- The manufacturer contacted me about these concerns. After some discussion, they identified my problem as a manufacturing defect. Instead of a defective one, they sent me a completely new adapter. When opening the adapter I noticed a few differences to the original model. I like this product and it gives my monitor a more stable experience than other adapters I've tried BUT there is a flaw in this design that some users are... may affect those like me. It was easy to install at first, but difficult to remove. Secure the metal back plate to the VESA mounting plate with 4 screws and nuts. Remove that awful little wobbly HP stand mechanism. A metal pincer covered with a piece of molded plastic is left on an HP 27f monitor. Remove the HP molded plastic piece leaving only the metal tongs protruding.
