Description of XL Open Air Design Audio Stand - Monolith 4-Tier, Espresso Finish, Supports up to 75 Lbs per Shelf, Ideal Solution for AV Component Organization

Sturdy construction: The four steel support tubes feature a scratch-resistant black powder-coated finish, while the rigid, thick MDF Shelves feature a finish that cleans easily and resists scratches and scuffs. Each shelf is acoustically Inert and can support up to 75 lbs. while the shelf with the support bar can hold up to 150 lbs. Open air design: the stand is designed with open air shelving for critical airflow, cooling, and ease of access to your components. Unlike most enclosed AV cabinets, This sturdy design will ensure your equipment receives plenty of circulating air that will keep them from overheating during use. Modular construction: The fully customizable modular design lets you build your rack exactly as tall as needed. Start with the base and add as many of the 4 shelves as you need. One set of steel support tubes are longer, allowing one tier of the stand to accommodate taller components. Additional support bar: attach the provided support bar underneath a shelf for additional structural bracing for your heaviest components. The perfect way to organize and display your AV components.

Strong and beautiful

It is not difficult to assemble (about 25 minutes). There was a slight bend on one pipe which has been corrected. Very durable and stable. Has levelers and vinyl feet to prevent abrasion.

  • Fits many

Shelves Current Color

I agree with other reviews that this stand is attractive, durable and easy to assemble. My only issue (minor) is that the color of the shelves appears much darker (almost black) than the warm shade of brown shown in the photos.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Disappears

High quality audio system

Very solid construction. good color Spacious design. With the exception of the crossbar between the bottom and middle racks, this limits the width of equipment that can be placed. A little under 19" so I had to put the amp on a top post, no big deal but wish it was a bit wider.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Style 90

Rock Solid - decent expensive hi-fi gear

Got this thing as a temporary stand for my hi-fi gear while I finish up our basement and design/build my system. I listened to a range of components and was pretty sure I would have to build my own TV/media cabinet to store my gear. After putting my stuff on this rack it looks amazing and the rack is very solid. I have the amps downstairs, then the CD transport, then the DAC/streaming and phono preamp, and upstairs is my turntable. For $150 it's very nice. So much so that I could order another…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

I bought this stand to use in my audio system not knowing its quality as there are no reviews for this Monolith XL here at Revain stand there. To my surprise, it was the best decision I've ever made in 25 years of audiophile work. First of all, don't let the $150 price tag fool you, it's better value than many other racks I've had (Bello/Salamander) and a few others I've tried. This Monolith XL rack is the most stable and a powerful audio stand that can be bought for $5-600 or even more because
