Description of πŸ”Š High-Quality Monoprice 2 Way in-Ceiling Speakers with Aramid Fiber and Titanium Silk Drivers - Caliber Slim Series (Pair)

REJUVENATION OF A CLASSIC: Since 2008, the Caliber series of speakers from Monoprice have sold over 100,000 pairs worldwide. The new Slim Line keeps all the sonic hallmarks of previous and existing Caliber speakers, while updating the aesthetic appeal for modern day installations. REFINED BEZEL: Painted or installed as is, these speakers will blend into any home or office setting. The slim bezel gives your listening area great sound with a 21st century appearance. ARAMID FIBER & TITANIUM SILK DRIVERS:Aramid fiber is a very light, rigid, and strong material that delivers clean and accurate bass reproduction. This lightweight transducer produces a natural sound with significantly less distortion than conventional drivers. Titanium silk offers good projection with warm tones. Immerse yourself in airy, detailed clarity with defined vocals and dialog from the pivoting titanium silk dome tweeters. PIVOTING DOME TWEETER:The pivoting titanium silk dome tweeter allows you to adjust the angle with a simple and gentle press into the side of the dome. Tilt it towards the listener to send the tones right where they need to go and minimize wall and ceiling reflections. COMPATIBLE WITH CURRENT CALIBER- ACCESSORIES: We designed the Slim Calibers to fit our existing installed speaker accessories. Making your job even easier with our Rough-in Brackets, ABS Back Cans, and Installation Kits.

Good speaker for the price

Good speaker for the price. The sound field is a bit narrow, but a star deduction. You have to be directly below to get clear highs.

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Great sound great price

I have replaced some commercial JBL & Bose ceiling speakers with these and the Monoprice actually sounds a lot better. Much more depth of sound, ideal for music and announcements from an automation system.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Good entry level built into the walls

Haven't installed them yet but tested them, they also mount for the price of a mono wall front and center. Compared to other in walls I've bought and played outdoors alone. I see how they can work very well.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Good but not great

Not as good as Monoprice in-wall speakers

I've been using Monoprice 6.5" in-wall speakers for my rear and satellite speakers for a while and I really like them. I upgraded my system to support Dolby ATMOS and since I liked the in-ceiling speakers so much why not use the in-ceiling speakers as the ATMOS speakers. While they were easy to assemble and beautiful to look at, they reach their limits much sooner than wall-mounted ones. I can run built-in walls at 80Hz with no problems. Ceiling speakers, on the other hand, have to run at 120Hz

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Style 90
