I just got this, honestly concerned about the 2 star rating but decided to give it a try anyway. It automatically detects your devices very well! If you have a 4k TV it will automatically detect this with hdcp 2.2 but if you have a 1080p TV it will also switch to hdcp 1.4 while working beautifully. I have no idea how long this thing will last, I just got it but it works great, very small and slim.

I am using this to split a Directv single to 3 different TVs. Works great, stutters a bit and I miss the picture on my main TV for a few seconds, when I turn on one of the secondary TVs I think it's a search and looking for resolution, it comes back after a few seconds. seconds. Bought to split the HDMI channel into separate channels for audio and video as our new TV plays full 4K HDR10 but my AV receiver only plays 4K and doesn't transmit HDR. Well connected but no 4K sent to TV or receiver and further upscaled to 1080P. The setup was a bit finicky at best, as it sometimes recognized the HDMI channel and other times didn't respond and I had to reset/unplug the adapter.
