DESIGNED FOR TRUCKS AND VANS -- Engineered for hardworking full-size trucks and vans and features full-displaced valving on compression cycles to deliver controlled ride and handling. IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade. LONGER SERVICE LIFE -- Larger bore and bigger 2-in. reserve tube work together to hold more oil for greater capacity to allow the shock to work efficiently for controlled ride and longer service life. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE -- Comes with Monroeโ€™s Limited Lifetime Warranty and exclusive Feel the Difference Guarantee.

You only had to put 2 items in the box. Sounds simple enough

What's so hard about packing a shock absorber and a bag of hardware in the box? It's only two parts, but the Monroe guys thought it was too complicated, so they threw away the assembly parts. That's why "Made in America" doesn't mean exactly the same thing these days.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Compatibility

Better than stock shocks

I replaced the stock shocks on my 2006 Siverado with a Monroe Gas Magnum front and Monroe shocks and strut adjusters. Ever since I bought the truck brand new in 2006, I have not liked its soft handling. These dampers made the ride stiffer and made it more manageable over bumps. My Silverado drives and drives like a real truck now.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Don't really like it but it's ok

Amazing shocks for the money

These shocks work great. I mounted them on my 2000 Silverado 1500 reg cab 4x4. I replaced what may have been the original shock absorbers which had about 231,000 miles on them. They come with all the hardware needed for installation. They drive well for the price. Compared to what was there, it's completely different now. Most likely these will be compatible Monroe rear shocks. Big shocks!

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Non automatic

Yes it works. Delivered quickly

Much cheaper than buying from an auto parts store. If you carefully read the warranty information on the Monroe website, Revain DOES NOT provide one-year or lifetime replacement support with the purchase of this product online. I understand this is the same product you buy elsewhere so I'm really not worried. Planning ahead can save you some money. I've had these front shocks installed on my 2004 GMC Sierra WT for about 6 months now. No questions.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

Monroe Gas Magnum Shocks

I was looking for a replacement shock for my 7 year old Chevy pickup that had done 67 miles. miles, - the original shock absorbers were "rolled around" so to speak. After a long search on the internet I decided on these Monroes as a cheap solution. Good news - my truck's handling is back to normal and the ride is actually quieter than with the old shocks - I'm very happy with it. I didn't want better handling than the original or a harder ride; I just wanted to recreate how the new truck wasโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
