Monroe 34953 and 34803 Abused shock absorbers

I finally got around to replacing these shock absorbers and found that they were not designed to do what they were supposed to do. It's too late to go back now. These Monroe 34953 and 34803 are not for 1989 Toyota 4x4 Pickup. I think they are for two wheel drive. Now I'm stuck with them. Four-wheel drive is not listed in the application table.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No instructions

Magnum shocks under shocks, struts and suspension

I ordered them for a 1991 Toyota 4x4 pickup even though the fit guide said they would fit my truck but would fit without the extra work not her. The bushing size on the shocks is a smaller diameter than the bolt through the lower mounting point. I used a C clamp to push the screw through the socket very tightly. I also had to cut out and pry out the wing mounting ear as Toyota uses a single screw that mounts horizontally, NOT two vertical screws.

Pros
  • Excellent fit for me
Cons
  • Some small things
