Excellent product with the best spare parts

Perfect fit for my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport XLT. These shocks definitely smoothed out my ride and provided some much-needed stability as I rode over bumps.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Monroe Light Truck Shock Review 37177 Sensa-Trac

The best light truck shock on the market. They claim to replace shock absorbers every 50,000 km. Mine was 80,000 miles on my truck

Pros
  • Loads of positive emotions
Cons
  • Modern

Exactly what I needed.

Replaced worn shock absorbers with a 2002 Ford Sport Trac. Can really tell the difference in how he handled it. I replaced all 4 with OEM Spectrum. It feels a bit hard but I'm sure it will soften up.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Not bad for the money

Fits my Explorer XLT 4.0l 1997 rwd and installs very easily. One was exactly the same as it came from the factory, fell off straight away with no problems. The second shock didn't have the same angle as the factory shocks (see pic), luckily the bottom mounting bolt goes through the rubber. It took some finesse to get in shape. So far it's going pretty well. 😁

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Really good shocks - great price

My Explorer shocks are gone and I know I need to do something. It got to the point where the Explorer was dangerous to drive, every time I hit a bump the wheels would come off the ground and the handling was terrible. I've always trusted Monroe and they had a great price. After the damper change the ride was smooth, firm and most importantly I regained control. I would say the ride was the same as new if not better. It's not a hard, jarring ride, but it's a solid one. Let's face it, the…

Pros
  • Solid build
