Terrible Performance: Waste of Money

My analysis of this product showed that it was a major disappointment. The shock absorber didn't provide any effective shock or vibration control for my industrial equipment. The only positive aspect of this product was its affordable price. However, the cons of the product outweighed this benefit. It failed to live up to its description and was a waste of my money. I would not recommend this shock absorber to anyone in the industrial and scientific field.

Pros
  • Provides excellent control and stability on rough roads
Cons
  • Not suitable for vehicles that require a softer, more comfortable ride

These shocks are very good, however.

These shock absorbers were used on a 1941 Chevrolet, they were not designed to replace a pair of modified 50 year old shock absorbers. Despite being listed with the correct travel, they were found to fall 1/2 inch short of what was advertised. With a small modification to the mounting brackets they are ready to go and work great.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Doubtful

For our Airstream good for shock and vibration control

Bought for my new Dexter axles for my 1986 Airstream. (They were recommended by the people I ordered axles from.) They fit and worked for our needs. We had to use the original screw for the installation as they came with a different screw size. And we had to pull them up under load because without the weight of the trailer on the axle they wouldn't extend far enough.

Pros
  • Powertrain Products
Cons
  • Crumpled
