They went in easily, fitted perfectly, and all four took less time.

Ordered these for my 1997 Fleetwood Van, 34ft long and 20,000lbs. The old shocks were removed, they fitted easily, fitted perfectly and all four took less than two hours to install. The difference in handling is amazing. They made an amazing difference in ride quality and handling. This includes the wobbling motion of passing Seis on the Autobahn. Driving has evolved from an uncomfortable experience into a one-handed activity. This is by far the best return I have ever had on my RV.

Pros
  • Multi-lip hydraulic seal for smooth operation, long life and reduced friction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Poor packaging with the quality issues already mentioned makes me question my confidence in the Monroe brand. Will…

They called parts and truck parts stores and sold shock absorbers, but they would have to order them and that would add to the cost. My husband went to Amazon, entered the information and was amazed that it was offered through Amazon. Also, the cost was almost half what it was elsewhere. He ordered them and installed new shock absorbers on our camper. Monroe 557003 were for the front…
