They look good and returning was easy

Had to return this item as it didn't fit my truck as advertised. They look beautiful and returning them was a breeze. However, due to Revain's shortcomings, I cannot give a negative review.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Great Auxiliary Spring Dampeners

New auxiliary spring dampers restore the ride height of our 1970 Chevy C10 truck. The ride is smooth and it doesn't squat as much with a heavy load. It took about 2 hours to replace both sides. There were 2 shocks in the package although we weren't sure based on the Revain ad. I would recommend them to any truck owner who needs an extra 500-1000 lbs of cargo capacity without squatting.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • I'll Be Quiet

Will not fit without modification

Shock absorbers look good and will likely work well. I have a '68 Chevrolet C10. The spring rubs against the axle tube without changing the shock mount. So if you buy them, be prepared. The easiest way is to remove the lower shock mount and cut mounting holes so you can move it forward. They give you instructions giving you ideas on how to apply them but this should be stated in the description so you can make a decision before you buy. That's why I gave 3 stars.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Requires socket

Perfect solution for sagging springs on the old C10.

I used these to replace a set of high jackers (that were no longer holding air or stabilizing the ride) on the back of my 70 C10 hunt truck. It was very difficult to install so if you can't lift your truck high enough you will never install it. I ended up putting a scissor jack on my axle and lifting the frame to line them up, worked like a charm but bent my scissor jack in the process. Don't know about the extra weight capacity yet, I think the kidnappers were stiffer but I got tired of airing

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Fine
