Description of 🔪 MOO Professional Carving Block: Effortless Stamp Carving & Printmaking, 4" x 6" x .5

Constructed of latex-free PVC which makes it soft, pliable and safer to use than linoleum. This innovative product “cuts like butter” and will hold even the finest of detail without breakage. The soft surface will readily accept transfers. Designs can also be applied directly with pen, pencil or marker. Because of its texture, the block can be cut into smaller pieces and all sides can be utilized

I opened my block today and the entire block has burrs due to the shrink wrap shrinking. Therefore, it is unusable for making impressions. I would like to order another block but am afraid of the same problem with future blocks. The shrink wrap needs to be smooth so it doesn't dent the entire device.

I was glad I was able to find the Moo Cut block.

Glad to find a 3/4 inch thick Moo cutting block. It is ideal for cutting and trimming small stamps and there is no need to place the finished stamp on a block of wood as it is thick enough to hold and print onto the desired surface. This is the best product for die cutting: easy to cut, no peeling, no breaking.

Pros

Cons
  • No Productivity

Excellent for stamping

I have loved the work of Sigrid Olsen for a long time, first as a fashion designer and then when she focused on prints and ceramics. I saw her demonstrate her technique using very simple patterns cut from these Speedball carving blocks and ink. She said she's tried every carving surface over the years and found this to be the best. My own experience confirms that it is much easier to work with than using linoleum blocks, speedball blocks or white erasers. Great product and much better price…
