I finally got sandpaper (400 grit) and sanded the sections.

The sections were very tight and I had to work very hard to separate them. I finally got some sandpaper (400 grit) and sanded down the sections to make them easier to assemble and separate.

Came but had to strain to take it apart

Arrived well packaged, no damage. The picture is very beautiful. However, it was very difficult to open the largest of them. Great strength was required. After it was opened I sanded the inside of the matryoshka to make it easier to assemble. Still a good product.

They don't open easily!

Bought as a present for my nieces. After opening them and trying to open the dolls it was quite obvious that they were of poor quality. I was too embarrassed to give them away so I just left them. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If I had kept the boxes I would have sent all THREE back.

Arrived cracked and mismatched, but beautiful.

When we received them I was very excited until I noticed the largest nutcracker had cracked about 1 inch directly in front and had another crack further away (both visible in the attached picture). Also, the nutcrackers were so tightly locked inside that they barely opened and wouldn't close when they finally opened! I had to trim them to get them out. I gave the nutcrackers 3 stars because they are BEAUTIFUL and in my opinion the only correct rendering of this aspect of these matryoshkas.
