Replaced a 15 year old Malibu unit with this. This runs cooler and the built in photo cell is a very nice feature. Timer settings are a nice option too. I do not like to have the lights on all night and being able to set the timer in 2 hour increments is great. I switched all of my lights over to LED and this is only running at 30-40 watts now and stays cool to the touch. I did have this run my lights prior to the LED switch at 90-100 watts and it did run warm but, not so hot it was concerning.

This item was perfect for my deck lighting. However, after a year and a half of perfect operation it suddenly stopped working. I cannot return it because of the time frame. I am deeply disappointed in the durability of this product. I found a less expensive product that does the same functions. Hopefully it will last a bit longer.

Bought this to replace one we had used for over 10 years. Five months after warranty expires it does not shut off after the fours hours we had it set for. The lights were on all night and still on after the sun came up. Had to unplug it to get the lights to shut off! Plugged it back in and lights stayed off until I turned them on and did turn off when I turned off the power pack. This is what happened to the old one after over 10 years of service. The new one has last 17 months. REALLY! $100.00

Great low voltage power supply, but a little heavy. It is easy to connect LED lights to the well covered connections. The screw down connections are clearly marked making it easy to connect bare wires, or fork or loop tabs, even multiples. Protects against the rain - I proved that. This unit was a replacement for an identical model originally purchased in 2017. The original unit began to malfunction after nearly 4 years of continuous service. For the price, you can’t beat it. The dusk to dawn feature worked quite well and the unit is quite simple to install and set up.

Second time I’ve bought this same transformer. Had one in LA and got another when moved to Colorado. It holds up to the weather and has more than enough power to support all landscape lighting. I love its simplicity and ease of installation. My only wish is that it had more than one connection point so I can add more lights on a different cable without having to squeeze together with prior connections.
