Description of Moosetreks Bikepacking Resistant Closure Bicycle

LOW PROFILE SADDLE PACK - Dual roll-closure top-opening packs measure in at 11” wide, ~10” tall, 3” deep keeping your cargo high and tight away from bushes and rocks while riding and away from your legs while pushing your bike up steep slopes!. DURABLE AND DESIGNED TO HAUL - Constructed with premium TPU-Laminated Ripstop Nylon material, Moosetreks Saddle Pack is designed to carry everything from food, fuel, water, and other gear you need for your bikepacking adventures. ~6 L capacity per side for a total of 12 L per set. Saddle packs weigh just over 1 lb when empty. UNIVERSAL FIT - Moosetreks Saddle Pack fits on any rear rack. Dual bags are permanently attached and mounts over the bicycle rear rack and attaches by 4 straps and cam buckles. No hooks or velcro. WATER RESISTANT - Roll the top opening over 3-4 times and attach buckle for best seal. This water resistant bag will provide good protection during light rain and brief splashing events. However, note that this is not a waterproof bag as moisture can enter through the stitching during heavy rains and/or submersion. It is recommended to place moisture-sensitive items in waterproof containers for additional protection.

Durable and affordable bags to keep things dry

Bought these to pack my bikes and ended up taking them on a trip up the Oregon coast. Withstands more than 400 miles of rides, mostly on tarmac. It stayed dry even in heavy rain, despite using bin bags inside. Capacity is fairly limited, so don't expect them to replace full-size baskets. The buckle system worked well enough, but sometimes you have to twist an extra side to connect it. In my limited experience, this is a reliable and cheap option compared to similar $150 bags.

  • Bike Racks and Bags
Cons
  • So-so
